The Aastra Office 45 sits at the top of the range – with benefits including a large multi-function screen with the optional back-light (available in the Aastra Office 45 Pro). As an Operator Console variant, the Aastra Office 45 Pro can be equipped with an Alpha Keyboard (AKB) and up to 3 Extended Keyboards (EKB) (2 with AKB) to give complete system control.

With the Aastra Office 45 being designed to be easy to use it continues to offer the extensive range of system features across many of the Aastra handsets. The multi-function alpha numeric screen can be programmed in a variety of modes to show extension status of other users, listing of missed calls, listing of answered calls plus full phone features. The Aastra Office 45 Pro also adds the convenience of a backlit display for added comfort, particularly when used as an operator terminal.

The Aastra Office 45 includes full handsfree speech , allowing the user to continue with operation of a keyboard, mouse or whatever they happen to be doing at the time of the call. A one touch microphone mute button is also available to provide privacy during the conversation if required. The option of full duplex for the highest quality is available.

Like the other members of the Office family the Aastra Office 45 features an ingenious Fox key. One touch of the Fox key takes you to the most appropriate function. If, for example, someone calls you on the Office 45 in your absence and leaves a message, just press the Fox key to have the message played back automatically. Functions like callback, switching between calls or conference calls can also be selected simply by pressing or holding down the Fox key.

The ten programmable keys of the Office 45 allow you to store two numbers per key and call them up simply by pressing the key once or twice. Or they can be used as function keys to activate or deactivate various functions. When used within call groups, users can log in and out of department groupings at different times of the day as required. The LED lamps can show call status or selected busy extensions.

Up to 350 speed-dial numbers can be stored under the number keys in addition to the system wide directory and for added individuality and style, the Aastra Office 45 and 45 Pro handsets can be fitted with an optional titanium coloured facia. Either way, the Office 45′s award winning design will enhance any desktop.

The LED light performs several practical functions: It flashes to indicate an incoming call, which together with the adjustable ringing volume is extremely useful in noisy environments. It also lights up if a caller has left a voice mail or wishes to be called back. All you do then is press the Fox key to automatically activate the relevant function.
